Goede Hoop - Brackenfell 2000

In a tough economic market, Greenfield used an innovative design approach to launch its first project on an under-utilised portion of land. A portion of the site was used to develop 35 erven catering for working couples and retired people who required low-maintenance homes in small manicured gardens. The balance of the site was used to develop a high-quality sectional title development in the affordable housing bracket. This development was one of the first sectional title developments in the Cape in which all the homes were freestanding, thus offering the freedom of a single title property, combined with the economic benefits of shared property and amenities found in sectional title.

Les Huguenots Wellington 2001

This site, considered waterlogged and undevelopable, was converted into the pride of Wellington through careful engineering. A 62 unit security development, launched in a difficult economic climate, Les Huguenots was designed to satisfy a pent-up demand for secure, low-maintenance homes. These homes, priced in an affordable bracket, offered purchasers a magnificent setting in the famous Wellington ‘Perdeskoen’. Purchasers in this scheme have seen growth in the value of their homes unprecedented in Wellington.

La Camargue Royal Ascot, Milnerton - 2002

Greenfield was selected as one of the initial developers for the prestigious Royal Ascot estate. The development facilitators, the Rabie Property Group, allocated a gateway site to Greenfield, which was maximised in terms of layout and aesthetics, leading to a highly sought-after development that sold out within hours of being launched. The complex has a modern Provencal design with a number of homes featuring lofts overlooking the racecourse or offering spectacular views of Table Mountain. This development successfully set the trend for Royal Ascot, with initial purchasers achieving returns of more than 100% on their investment.

Pyramid Place Brackenfell

These single-residential serviced plots in the heart of Protea Heights, in Cape Town’s northern suburb of Brackenfell, quickly proved popular with buyers, and have achieved substantial capital appreciation since launch and development.

De Wijnlanden Stellenbosch 2003

This flagship development, surrounded by the magnificent Stellenbosch mountains and bordered by the lush vineyards of Meerlust, required all the skills and innovation of Greenfield to unlock its potential. Previously a degraded piece of land earmarked for the establishment of a copper smelter, Greenfield recognised the positive aspects of the site, enabling the development of an estate that can compete with any other in the Stellenbosch Winelands. The design allows every home in the 205 unit estate to face onto open space, orchard or vineyard. The ultra-low density of 4 homes per hectare allows the freedom of rural living in a secure private estate with high- quality amenities such as a clubhouse, squash and tennis courts, a crèche and various recreational areas, including kilometres of walking trails.

La Palma Mossel Bay

Previously a caravan and camping site, Greenfield transformed this two- hectare site into upmarket holiday accommodation. With twenty of the La Palma luxury sectional title units a mere 25 metres from the high water mark, it was no surprise that the development was sold out by word of mouth, weeks before the planned launch of the project!

La Palma Villas Mossel Bay

This the seven-storey apartment block located behind the individual title units of La Palma, features a unique semi-circle design of five freestanding towers, each optimally positioned for incredible views of the Indian Ocean.

Estoril Mossel Bay

Planned as a retail shopping centre, this site remained undeveloped for many years as developers struggled to make an unsustainable project viable. Greenfield acquired the site late in 2003 and immediately set about rezoning it to a more appropriate development, namely convenient and affordable holiday apartments. A high-rise luxury apartment block located in the north eastern corner of the site was been planned to optimize sea views. The development was sold out within days of its being launched.

Estoril Villas Mossel Bay

Launched in December 2003, the 102 unit Estoril Villas features a nautical look and boasts comfortable holiday apartments an easy 150-metre walk from the main Diaz Beach swimming area. Once again, the development sold out within a matter of a few days.

Portobelo Mossel Bay

This 73-unit development at Diaz Beach, close to all the main amenities, features a combination of tiered apartments and condominiums. The complex also features a resort-size swimming pool with island and a games room, making it a perfect holiday destination for families with children. These luxurious, modern and spacious apartments have big entertainers’ balconies with gas braais, luxury kitchens and appliances, and security access control.

Frsnschkraal Villas Gansbaai

Separated from the main Franskraal swimming beach by nothing more than a densely vegetated dune, Franschkraal Villas appeals to the holiday market as well as retired people wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of city or suburban life.

De Werf Stellenbosch

At the entrance to the sought-after De Wijnlanden Residential Estate and neighbouring the celebrated vineyards of Meerlust, De Werf is a retail and residential complex consisting of a variety of double-storey buildings designed in an authentic Cape rural style by award-winning architects EHH and Gisele Vanderstraeten. The development consists of three precincts:

The Lodges: 20 sectional titles apartments

The Cottages: 32 sectional title luxury residences

The Lofts: 36 sectional title split-level apartments
